The Burlington Northern Santa Fe RailRoad provides vital transportation services for the country everyday. Stream has helped the BNSF RailRoad with its information systems since 1994, supporting and enhancing its telecommunications systems, electronic monitoring and control systems, and trouble ticket and morning report systems.
Over one-hundred
Morning Reports
are generated and transmitted by the BNSF's TNOC(Telecommunications
Network Operations Center) to remote locations across the country
everyday. The information in these Morning Reports helps Managers
and Technicians track problem status and history.
The RailRoad's
Netmon Application
is a very unique and powerful network tool used to monitor several
different types of electronic monitoring and control systems. As
recently as three years ago, there existed no other off-the-shelf
solutions suitable for the RailRoad's considerable requirements.
The
DB_map
(database map)
application we wrote in 1994-95 provided a graphical way for the
RailRoad to put on-line database access of its telecommunications
personnel, equipment, right-of-ways, and equipment sites on the
desktop.
